Mabel LeDay, 88; died April 11, 2012 in a local hospital.

She was born to the late Martin O. Washington and Ophelia LeVergne Washington on March 9, 1924 in Egan, LA.  She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served on the Senior Usher Board and was the Mother of the Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrance LeDay, Sr.; Alzer Boyce Washington (Mama); one daughter. Daisy A. Roberts Warfield-Walker.

She is survived by one brother, 11 children. 55 grandchildren, 126 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family member and friends.

Her funeral will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012 with the viewing from 1-3 PM at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Sulphur, LA.  The Rev. Arthur Etienne will officiate.  Burial will be at the Church's Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
