Mae Hilda Jones Dick was born December 13, 1927 to Ned Jones and Louella Stevens Jones in Villeplatte, Louisiana. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Mary Baptist Church in Point Blue, Louisiana under the leadership of Rev. O. White. She was united in marriage to Joseph Dick, on January 27, 1945. To this union fourchildren were born.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dick, her son Uris Dick, grandson Johnathan Wayne Lewis, her parents Ned and Louella Stevens Jones; four brothers, Horace Jones Sr., Irving Jones, Lee Rogers Jones, Sr., and Ned Jones, Jr., four sisters Rosella Malbrew, Loretta Edwards, Leanna Joseph and Winnie Pearl Malbrew.

In 1977 she moved to Long Beach,California and later returned to Lake Charles in 1981. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and fellowshipped with other churches in the community. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters Martha Dick Gravette-Jolivette (Arthur Allen) Moreno Valley, California, Gloria Dick Brown Johnson (Bellflower, California), and Patricia Jones of Hawaiian Garden, California. She also leaves to cherish her memories eleven grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
