Marceline Vital Simon Thomas, 72, Lake Charles – departed this life on Saturday, September 8, 2012.  Born December 7, 1939, in Lacassine, LA, she lived in Lake Charles most of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory; one daughter Bristle Shenell Simon (Cedric) of Lake Charles; three sons, Lester Simon Jr. (Charlotte) of Viera, FL; Wayne Simon (Terasaki) of Pearland, TX; and Efron Simon (Yolanda) of Lake Charles, LA. Two sisters Nolia (Marshall) Simien and Bernadine (Horace) Fontenot, both of Lake Charles, LA. Two brothers;  Alex (Betty) Vital of Fayetteville, NC; and Ernest (Albertha) Vital of Lake Charles, LA.   Two sister-in-laws Laura (Wendell) Coleman and Bessie Vital; two brother-in-laws, Joseph (Janai) Thomas and Jessie Victorian, Sr. One godson Larry (Melanie) Victorian.  Twelve grandchildren; Natasha,  Terrence, McQuinton,  Miracle, DeCarlos, Amanda, Jasmine, Efron Jr., Joshua, Rayonta, Quintazia, and Jonas.  Five great-grandchildren; Kealan, Christopher Jr., McQuinton Jr., Maydon, and Mylin. Also a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Thomas, two brothers Ted Vital and Clarence Vital Jr.; one sister; Betty Victorian and her parents Clarence and Nolia Vital.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9:00am to 11:00am, funeral services beginning at 11:00am.  Pastor Horace P. Fontenot, Sr. will officiate.  Burial will be at Lorraine Cemetary in Lacassine LA.
