Marcus Guillory, age 60, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on December 4, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of his family.Born on March 22, 1965, in Lake Charles, Marcus lived a life filled with music, family, and a quiet, steady strength that touched everyone who knew him.
Marcus was a gifted musician with a deep passion for the French horn. He proudly played in the W.O. Boston Marching Panthers and continued his musical journey in college as a member of the band at Grambling State University. His love for music remained a central part of his spirit throughout his life.
Marcus found peace in fishing, joy in being around animals, and his greatest happiness in spending time with his family. His presence was comforting, his laughter unforgettable, and his heart full of love for those around him.
Marcus is survived by his daughters Marketa LaSalle and Bernella Dugas; his grandchildren Nikita and Layla Ebanks, De'Marquee Gray, Shel'Darius Dugas, and Majesty Dugas; his siblings Ariana (Anthony) Rigmaiden, Stephan (Felicia) Guillory, Damon Willis, and Damion Willis; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his mother Judy Brown, father Peter Guillory, and beloved son Jaylen Guillory.
Marcus leaves behind a legacy of music, strength, and love. Though his earthly journey has ended, the memories he created and the love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
