Obituary

"I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there

is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me at

that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing."

II Timothy 4:7-8

Margaret Papillion, 73, peacefully entered a life of blissful eternity on March 30, 2021.

Margaret Papillion Lartigue was born on September 1, 1947 to the late Hanson Roman Papillion, Sr and the late Elvie Papillion in Mallet, Louisiana. She was united in matrimony to Harold Lartigue, Sr and to that union they were blessed with four beautiful children.

Margaret loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family. Each family member had a special name for her. To her children she was Mom, to her grandchildren she was Mo-Mo and Mo-Mo Tigue, to her nieces and nephews she was Aunt Margaret, and to her cousins she was Phonsana'. She was always full of life and loved sharing generational history. She was always the best fan and the biggest cheerleader for her grandchildren at their sporting events.

Margaret was dedicated to her faith and her church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; she also was active in the National Alliance of Mental Illness Organization.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Hanson and Elvie Papillion; her husband, Harold Lartigue Sr; one son, Marcus Lartigue; three sisters, Elfie Collins, Mary Lee Antoine, and Barbara Sezar; three brothers, Ivan, Willie and Hanson Roman Papillion Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Harold Lartigue Jr (Kimberly); two daughters, Lolita Lartigue Ceasar and Sheryl Lartigue Morris (Derrick) all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one son-in-law, Freddie "Gene" Ceasar; one sister-in-law, Gwen Chretien Olivier all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Jermaine Fontenot, Joseph Randy Jordan Jr, Alisha Lartigue, Morgan Jordan, Hanson Raymond, Jeremiah Ceasar and Justin Lartigue; ten great-grand children; two Godchildren, Jacqueline Collins Thurn and Gerald Antoine; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
