Mrs. Marie Melba Hypolite, age 99, of Parks, Louisiana transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 11, 2025.  She has been a resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana for 72 years. Melba is the daughter of the late Colbert and Lavina Wiltz. She is preceded in death by her parents, Colbert and Lavina Wiltz; her husband Felton Hypolite; her daughter Brenda Owens; her sisters Dorothy Mae Johnson, Hilda Valsin, Mabel Mitchell, Verdell Francis; and brothers Robertson Wiltz, Robert Wiltz, Gabriel Wiltz.

Marie Melba is survived by one son, Alzrie "Al" Hypolite; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters Bertha Gillard and Verna Narcisse. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins will sadly miss her. Melba's life was filled with laughter, joy and dancing! She loved zydeco music and shopping and was very active until the few months preceding her death.

. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Combre Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. with the rosary recitation at 9:15 a.m.
