Marion "Son" Siverand, 91, departed this life on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born on September 24, 1929 to the late Sterling Siverand Sr. and Stella Fontenot Siverand in Garland, LA. He married Albertha Trent on February 19, 1955 and to this union, eight children were born. Marion retired from PPG Industries where he worked for 18 years. He was a faithful member of Mill Street Church of Christ in Lake Charles, LA. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family and was always available to help others in need.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 66 years, Albertha Trent Siverand; three sons, Anthony (Tina) Siverand Sr., Harold (Zina) Siverand, Nathan (Patricia) Siverand; five daughters, Sandra (Wesley) Wiltz, Leticia Jones, Pamela (Antoine) Semien, Paula (Milton) Daniel, and Katherine Siverand; three brothers, Sterling "Tom" Siverand Jr. of Lebeau, LA, Wilbert (Ella Marie) Siverand of Houston, TX, and Leroy (Louise) Crear of LaMarque, TX; three sisters, Leola (James) Block and Gertrude (Herman) Guillory of LaMarque, TX, and Theresa Siverand of Opelousas, LA. Marion had 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Siverand Sr. and Stella Fontenot Siverand; four brothers, Willary "Tut" Siverand, Leon Siverand, Willie Siverand, and L. B. Siverand; three sisters, Loubertha Trent, Louise Mullen, and Beulah Bob, and one grandson, Terrence Siverand.
