Marion Anthony Villery, 86, of Lake Charles, LA, departed this life Saturday, September 2012, at his residence.

Marion was born on March 30, 1926 in Plaisance, La to Joseph Lazard Villery and Edolia Sam Villery. He married Nora Barker on August 31, 1952. He was employed by the Greater Lake Charles Water Company for forty-one years. He was a master plumber and the owner and operator of Villery's Plumbing. Marion was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Saint Peter Claver Court 141, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Usher Board.  He was also a member of the National Federation of the Blind. He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Gerard Villery, his parents, his brother Milburn, and his sister Carrie Thomas Guillory.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Nora Barker Villery; his  sons Merlyn Villery and Raymond Villery (Winnifred); his daughters  Glenda V. Roberson (Ronnie) and Kathleen V. Parker (Charles); 11  grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 12 great grandchildren, 3 step  grandchildren; 3 brothers: Hubert Villery of Opelousas, Harry B.  Villery of Lake Charles and John Floyd Villery of Plaisance, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Rite of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Father Marcus Johnson will officiate. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8:00- 10:30 a.m. in Combre Funeral Home.
