Mary Ann White-Lewis was born in Jennings Louisiana on March 18, 1944 to Edmond White, Sr. and Gertie Pitre-White.
In Jennings she attended Jennings Elementary School and Jefferson Davis High School where she graduated in 1962.
After graduation she decided to move California. After working in California for a while, she decided to go to Job Corp where she studied Nursing but found out Nursing wasn't for her. So, she changed her career path to Data Processing where she found out she had a knack for speed typing. After working for a while in Oakland, she decided to move to Portland, Oregon where she met and married her husband, Arthur Lewis and to this union they had two sons, Charles Edmond Lewis and (stepson) Terry Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her (Parents) Edmond White, Sr. and Gertie Pitre-White; (Brother) Curly Joseph White; (Sisters) Pearlie Broussard, Katie Curtis and Ruby White and her son Charles Edmond Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories her (Husband) Arthur Lewis; Stepson Terry Lewis of Las Vegas Nevada; (Brothers)
Edmond White Jr, of Oakland California and Charles White of Vinton Louisiana; (Sister) Brenda White-Price of Lake Charles Louisiana; (Grandson) Kael-el Lewis of Las Vegas Nevada; (God Daughters): Andrea Bradford of Raliegh North Carolina and Jaiden LaTour of Lake Charles Louisiana (Special Granddaughter) Christina Mc Zeal of Lake Charles Louisiana; Special Friends: Jennifer White and Family, Phyllis Kichen and Family, Tim Alfred and Belinda (Ms. Faye) Brown. A host of Nieces and Nephews: Cynthia, Wyndolyn, Doris, Herbert, Sandra, Randy, Michael, Erica, Sonja, Tawnja, Marvin, Martin, Marc, Margaret, Geri, Andred, Raymond, Aa'yana, Iyana, Christina, Edmond, III, Sir Clinton and a host of Great and Great Great Nieces and Nephews.
