Mary Bernadette Bell, 71, died Sept. 1, 2014, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in St. Landry Parish (Bellevue), she spent most of her life in Houston, Texas, before returning home to Lake Charles.

Bernadette will forever be loved and remembered by her devoted daughters, Tiffany Bell and LaSheika (Kelly)Bell-Victor of Lake Charles; loving son, Thesius "Snoopy" (Ashley) Bell; treasured grandchildren, Kyndal Rose Bilbo, Ethan James Bell, Triston Tremayne "Pop" Bell, Arica Deboest and Ethan Deboest of Lake Charles; loving sisters, Bernice (A.B.) Kennerson and Virgie (Thomas) Young; and her loving brother, James G. Arceneaux, all of Lake Charles; caring aunt, Mary Shiloh of Opelousas; along with countless nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Paul Arceneaux Sr. and Roselia Joseph Arceneaux; brothers, Leo Paul Arceneaux Jr., Arthur Arceneaux and Charles Arceneaux; and sisters, Birdie Pickens, Margie Davis and Mary Elzina Arceneaux.

Service date: September 6, 2014

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Combre Funeral Home.
