Mary Lee Leverton Cormier, 90, was called home on July 2, 2018 in a local nursing home.

She was born on August 11, 1927 to Robert and Victoria Leverton in Groveton, Texas.

She moved to Lake Charles and married Albert Comier in 1945.

Mary traveled extensively with her husband, who was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army.

Mary's love to cook and entertain was illustrated in her exceptional meals and captivating storytelling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her god-daughter: Gaynell Wheaton, her parents, and two brothers and seven sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories one sister: Gertha King, caregivers: Cheryll Kennedy and Jeffery Wheaton, and generations of nieces and nephews.
