Mary Ann Francis LaFanette, 82 departed this life on Sunday November 12, 2022, in her home in Lake Charles, La. She was born on February 24, 1940, to the late Sidney & Estella Francis. Mary Ann loved everyone equally. She enjoyed cooking and going to church. Mary never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by many.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Herbert and son David, her parents Sidney and Estella; 4 brothers Ernest, Joseph, Herman and Jules Francis, 1 sister Catherine Francis Declues. She leaves to celebrate her life and mourn her absence 4 daughters Juanita (Jerry) Francis Bell, Stacey, Christa, and Margaret LaFanette, 2 sons Nicholas, and Darrin LaFanette. Grandchildren Jerald, Dominic, Michaela, Shonta, Dajona, Diamonta, Michael Jr., and Jasya, 6 great grandchildren, she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
