Mary Ella Pete, 86, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Lake Charles, La., and lived in Sulphur, La., for 36 years. She was the owner/operator of the Star Cleaners in Lake Charles for 20 years, also owner/operator of Pete''s Day Care Center in Lake Charles for 15 years. She became a foster grandparent for the W.R. Vincent Elementary School for 10 years. She was an active member of the St. John''s Bosco Catholic Church until her illness.
She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Joyce (Henry) January of Orlando, Fla., Marion Bishop and Tracy (Phillip) Winbush of Lake Charles, and Sharon Pete Of Sulphur, La.; one son, John (Angela) Pete of Sulphur La.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Skelton; two sons, Michael Samuel and Bobby Ray; one grandchild, Jacquetta Marie; and two great-great-grandchildren, Roderick Jr. and Jazariyah.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: March 19, 2016
Visitation will be Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at St. John''s Bosco Catholic Church. The Rev. Albert Boxel will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
