Mary Virgin Singleton of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on February 9, 2020, in a local hospital.

Mary Virgin Jordan was born to the union of Leo Jordan and Eva Norman Jordan on March 9, 1928.  She united in marriage to Calvin Singleton, Sr. on December 3, 1944, and to this union twelve  (12) children were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Singleton, Sr.; sons, Joseph Charles Singleton, Sr., Freddie George Singleton, Calvin Singleton, Jr., Donald Ray Singleton, and Joseph Leon Singleton; daughter, Eva Marie Singleton Stewart; two grandchildren; her parents, Leo Jordan and Eva Norman Jordan; brother, Leo Paul Jordan; and sister, Jessie Mae Jordan Carmouche.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Merrick Singleton and Herman Lee Singleton of Lake Charles, Louisiana;  daughters, Carol Ann (Marcus) Richard of Mossville, Louisiana, Bernadine (Leonard) Jones, Virginia Dale Singleton, and Lena Singleton of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sisters, Lucille Joseph, Doris Guidry, and Leola Jordan; brothers, Percy Jordan, Louis Jordan, and Perry Jordan; thirty (30) grandchildren; fifty-three (53) great-grandchildren; seventeen (17) great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
