Mary was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, niece, and friend to everyone she met. She was a stranger to no one. She cared for her nieces and nephews as though they were her own especially Julius Fontenot Jr. and Christian Bernard.

Her two favorite aunts were Ophelia Collins and Julia (Peaches) Joubert. One Goddaughter Latrell Cox of Loganville, Georgia, whom she loved dearly, a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
