Mary Maudra Wiley (maiden name Laffinet), aged 75, died early Thursday morning, August 14th, 2014 in Lake Charles.

She was a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was an Army veteran. She was a nurse at the prestigious Kansas University Medical Center located in Kansas City, Kansas. After moving back to Louisiana, Mary lived out the rest of her career as a teacher before retiring in Lake Charles with her late husband Earnest Wiley.

Mary is survived by her two sons Michael Cole of Kansas City and Claude Wiley of Lake Charles; her five siblings Barbara, Beverly, Patricia and Horach Laffient and Larry Guillory and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary will be deeply missed.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 from 10:30am to 12pm at Combre Funeral Home. Departure for Combre Memorial Park Cemetery will begin at 12pm.
