On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, the Almighty God called Mrs. Mary Zenon to her final resting place.  She was born on September 10, 1932 in Duson, LA to the late Rudolph and Lena Livings.  The second daughter of eleven siblings – six brothers and four sisters. She was united in marriage to the late Joseph Zenon for 45 years and to that union 5 children were born.  Mrs. Mary Zenon and her late husband were faithful members of IHM Catholic Church.  She was active in several ministries, KPC Ladies Auxiliary, Christian Mothers, Legion of Mary, Block Rosary and Vocation Cross.  The Fall Bazaar was one of her favorite events.  She was known for her popcorn balls at every bazaar.  When she was not at IHM you could find her participating in the community, active in the Neighborhood Improvement Coalition (NIC Acorn) and Grandparents on Patrol at Ray D. Molo Middle School.

Family was her number one priority. Those left to cherish the memories of her full life, filled with wisdom and her "matter of fact personality" are her five children, Shelton (Emily), Mary A. Zenon, Sharon Zenon, Johneric Zenon and Cassandra (Patrick) Collins, three sisters, Verdie Prejean, Louella Kelly and Unella Baber, 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, one godson, Kenneth Prejean and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Mrs. Mary Zenon was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Zenon, her parents, Rudolph and Lena Livings, one sister Lucinda Livings and 6 brothers, Clifton Livings, Felix Livings, Nursey Livings, Nelson Livings, Joseph Livings and Harry Livings.
