Mazie Parker Washington was born on July 18, 1918, to the late Rev. John Parker and Florence Narcisse Parker in Lake Charles, La. She departed from this life Nov. 5, 2014.
Mazie was a lifetime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society and the Immaculate Heart of Mary choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Washington; two sisters, Christiana Martin, Virginia Johnson; and one brother, John Asa Parker.
She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Janet (Jerry) Adams, Cynthia Washington, Christiana Washington, all of Lake Charles, and Carolyn (Jeffrey) Hardison of Georgia; two grandchildren, Laney (Monique) Washington and Janea (Chester) Charles; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Seraille and Diamond Washington; and two greatgreat-grandchildren, Zyon and Rayleigh Seraille.She also leaves her special cousin and lifetime friend Rosa Narcisse Henry, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: Nov. 11, 2014
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, 1 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Father Marcus Johnson officiating.Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-12:40 p.m. at Combre Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
