On Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 9:35 pm the Lord called McKinley "Kenny" Jones home at the age of 82.

McKinley "Kenny" Jones was born January 22, 1931 to the late Eddie Jones, Sr. and Louisa Malone Jones in Plaisance, Louisiana. He was raised in a Christian home and was baptized at an early age at St. Mark Baptist Church. He attended Plaisance High School.

He met the love of his life, Eva Chenier Jones, in 1952 at the Senior Prom dance, and on November 13, 1954 they were united in holy matrimony. To this union were born three children Terry, Tammy, and Dwight.

McKinley was a kind hearted, giving and honest man. He enjoyed cooking to feed his family which kept a smile on his face. He enjoyed eating cornbread and milk, Peggy''s boudin, and lemon cake and would never go through Eunice without stopping at Ray''s for his fried pies. He retired from the construction business after 46 years and was a member of the Local 207 Union. He was a faithful member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church for many years and attended Sunday school and service until he became ill and was no longer able to attend.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 59 years, Eva Chenier Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana. His memories will be cherished by his children, Terry Jones Sr., Tammy (Gerald) Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Dwight (Brenda) Jones of Houston, Texas. Two brothers, Allen (Marie) Jones and Eddie Jones both of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Seven grandchildren, Tobias Jackson, LaNay Jones, Terrilyn Jones, Terry Jones, Jr., Varsha Jones, Christina Jones, and Nevaeh Jones. Five great grandchildren, Shannon Booker, Jr., Isaiah McKinley Jones, Jaxson Blake Roberts, Krystle Griffin, and D.J. Griffin. His God daughter, Yolanda Straughter; brothers-in-law, Jessie Guillory, Leander Richard, Melvin Portier and sisters-in-law, Mable Lazard, Leola Chenier, and Anna Ree Chenier. McKinley will also be remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Jones, Sr. and mother, Louisa Malone Jones, siblings Cora (Leroy) Stepney, Mack (Sally) Jones, Elmira (Relphard) Spikes, Elnora (Robert Lee) Gordon, Louise Jones Guillory, and daughter-in-law Dawn Jones.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8:00 am till 11:00 am with Home Going Celebration at 11:00 am, Messiah Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Robert L. Owens will officiate. Arrangements entrusted to Combre Funeral Home with Interment in Combre Memorial Park.
