Melba Skinner, 69, was called home on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in alocal hospital.
She was born in Youngsville, Louisiana and lived most of her life inLake Charles, Louisiana.(51 yrs.)
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Melba was a superbcook as well as a wonderful baker. She was employed by Mazen restaurant atthe time of death.
Melba will forever be remembered by her dearest friend Mr. EmanuelChaney, beloved children Tessa Anderson (Gary), Tillman Skinner Jr.(Rosie),Michael Skinner, Sr (Ernestine), Marie Eaglin(Reynard,Sr) all of LakeCharles, Louisiana, 21 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren, and a hostof nieces, nephews, cousins, borther-n-laws, and friends.
Other Survivors: One brother, Simon Landry, five sisters, GailDarby(Wilbert), Marlin Montgomery(Adam Sr.), Youngsville, Louisiana, EllaM. Darby(Joseph), Diane L. Charles(Preston Sr.), Scott, Louisiana and AnnaF. Guidry(Joseph) Erath, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her spouse Tillman Skinner, Sr., parentsCurley Sr. and Mayola Landry, two brothers Curley Sr. and Willie Landry,four sisters, Joyce St Julien, Nancy Victor, Algee Charles, and Mary Landry.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: March 21, 2015
Her funeral will be at ll:00 a.m. Saturday March 21, 2015 at Good HopeMissionary Baptist Church of Westlake Louisiana. The Rev. Madison Clark, Jrwill officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park Cemetery under thedirection of Combre Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is from 9 a.m.- 11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
