Honoring the Life and Legacy of Michael James Bowers April 16, 1980 – September 4, 2025

Michael James Bowers was born on April 16, 1980, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Michael J. Livings and the late Sheila F. Bowers. Michael Jr. was destined to leave an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him. From a young age, he embodied family leadership, charisma, and compassion—qualities that would define his life's journey.

A proud 1998 graduate of Washington-Marion High School, Michael Jr. was a distinguished member of The Marching Jukebox Band, where he served as Section Leader and commanded the snare drum with both power and precision. His love for music and leadership was unmistakable, and it resonated with all who heard him play.

He went on to attend Southern University before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. For two years, he wore the uniform with honor and dignity, embodying the spirit of service and sacrifice.

After completing his military service, Michael Jr. returned to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he discovered a deep passion for automobiles, particularly Cadillacs. He began his career at Duplessis Cadillac, igniting a love for sales and client advocacy that would become his life's work. Over the next two decades, he flourished in various Cadillac dealerships across Louisiana and Texas, earning the respect and trust of countless clients through his unmatched dedication, knowledge, and professionalism.

Driven by a desire to do more for his clients and community, Michael Jr. founded Paramount Auto Sales, a venture he owned and operated for six remarkable years. Through Paramount, he helped individuals and families secure their dream vehicles, making the process seamless and stress-free. He took great pride in negotiating fiercely on behalf of others, always ensuring they received the very best.

His passion for helping others extended beyond the auto sales industry. For two years, he also worked for State Farm Insurance, where he advised and guided clients in securing the protection and peace of mind their families deserved.

Michael Jr. loved deeply and lived boldly. He was a man of great laughter, unwavering loyalty, and endless generosity. He cherished his family, treasured his lifelong friendships, and never hesitated to extend a helping hand to those in need. To his nieces and nephews, whom he affectionately called his "babies," he was a mentor, protector, and source of endless joy.

He is preceded in death by his loving mother Sheila F. Bowers; maternal great-grandparents Hosea and Octille Lubin; maternal grandmother Dorothy Lubin; maternal uncles Mack Reynolds Bowers, LeRoy Bowers, and Benjamin and Peggy Lubin; paternal grandfather Joseph Livings; paternal great-grandparents Rudolph and Lena Livings; and paternal uncles Joseph "Tommy" Livings, Ray Allen Livings, and Mitchel W. Livings.

He leaves to honor his memory his devoted father and stepmother, Michael and Carla Livings; his cherished paternal grandmother Ethel Livings; four loving brothers: Nathaniel Joseph Livings Sr. (Dianne), Carlos Wayne Cullivan Sr. (Shauntel), Jeremy Jamar Livings Sr. (Nicole), and Christopher Paul Livings Sr. (Makalin); two beloved sisters: Shantell Redon Livings (Erica) and Shamelle Ravon Livings; twelve treasured nieces, nine adoring nephews, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, classmates, and friends who will forever carry his light in their hearts.

Michael James Bowers lived with purpose, loved with power, and gave with a heart full of grace. Though his earthly journey has come to a close, his legacy of excellence, generosity, and love shall echo through the lives he touched—forever remembered, forever revered.
