Mr. Jones died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He graduated from W.O. Boston High School and Sowela Technical Institution. He was employed as an I&E Designer by Furmanite (Sasol site).

Left to Cherish his loving memories are his wife of 35 years, Florence Pitre Jones; Children, Chance Jones of Beaumont Texas and Courtney Jones of Lake Charles Louisiana; four grandchildren, Taylor and Chandler Jones; and Jaylee and Carlee Gradney all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; His parents, Albert (Mary Lue) Jones and Laura Mayo Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana; One brother, Harold (Linda) Jones and one sister, Janice Jones Perkins (Lee Espree), one stepsister Adrienne Chavis all of Lake Charles, Louisiana and stepbrother Jamil (Fareedah) Abdul-Jabbar of Beaumont, Texas; three godchildren, Javis Guillory of Houston, Texas, Harold Jones Jr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Jenell Lewis of Austin, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: June 24, 2015

Funeral services for Michael Lee Jones, 58 will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Warren United Methodist Church. The Reverend Davis Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery under direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8:00 am - 11:00 am in the church.
