His Life, His Legacy

Michael Gerard Semien 53 was born December 21, 1968 to the parentage of Shelton Semien Sr. and Louvenia Semien of Lake Charles, LA. Michael graduated Iowa High School in 1986. After High School, he graduated from Sowela Technical College in Auto Mechanics in 1988. Michael met and married Jacqueline Jones of Many, LA on March 26, 2012. For the past 15 years, Michael worked for MTP Drivetrain Services also known as Military Truck Parts as a Diesel Mechanic in Many, LA.  He recently received an award for 15 years of excellence. Michael loved his family, friends and his dogs. Michael had the uncommon ability to do so many things well and he made it seem effortless. He always helped everyone. No one was a stranger to him. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and his corny jokes. He enjoyed fishing, music, and barbequing. Especially his ribs, they would fall off the bone. He could smoke a roast that would melt in your mouth. Truly, all will miss him.

Michael was called home on Friday July 29, 2022 in his home. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife; Jacqueline Semien, His daughter; Chassity Carter of Lake Charles, LA. His stepdaughter; Stephanie Jones of Zwolle, LA. His Parents Shelton and Louvenia Semien of Iowa, LA. Two sisters; Cynthia Semien and Angela Semien of Iowa, LA. Two brothers; Shelton Semien Jr. and Wayne (Natalie) Semien of Lake Charles, LA. His grandsons; Jadien Carter-Simon of Lake Charles, Robert Walker and Braylon Walker of Zwolle, LA. and his granddaughter Eraine Jones of Zwolle, LA. and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his stepson; Major Jones, his grandparents; Sanders and Gracie Reed, and Zim and Theresa Semien, His uncles; LJ John (Jay) Semien, Lawrence (Bay) Semien, Frank Reed, Garland Reed, Sanders Reed, his aunts; Hazel Deville, Jeanette Reed, Sylvia Williams, Joyce Thibodeaux and Darlene Sanders, his nephew; Brycen Semien and his niece; Madyson Semien.

The wake and Funeral will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1102 Mill Street Lake Charles, La 70601.
