Mickeal was born March 12, 1952 to Lawrence Isaac and Ruth Mae Davis Isaac in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of late Rev. Horace C. Allison. He participated in the Junior Choir and served as a Junior Usher. He is a graduate of Washington High School class of 1970. He was a member of the Washington High School Marching Band. Mickeal was an avid lover of music. His desire for music enabled him to receive a 4-year band scholarship to Grambling State University. During his tenure at Grambling, he was afforded the opportunity to travel extensively, including a tour of Africa. Mickeal graduated from Grambling State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
He married his high school sweetheart, Jocelyn E. Sullen on July 23, 1970. To this union, one son was born, Michael Lynn Isaac. Mickeal was employed in Sales at Sears~Lake Charles, before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he was employed in the food industry.
To broaden his horizons, Mickeal and family moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked in the food industry at Wendy's as a Business Manager, residing in Illinois for 24 years.
He was diagnosed in 2014 with Lymphoma Cancer, and the decision was made to move home to be with family. During his 5-year battle with cancer, he never gave up hope. He was a man of strong faith, never complained. He always placed God first, giving Him all the glory and praise. He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Ruth Davis Isaac.
Cherishing his memories are his wife, Jocelyn Isaac; one son, Michael (Keturah) Isaac of Chicago, Illinois; his father, Lawrence Isaac of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one brother, Joseph Isaac of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Gilda (Frank) Wesley, Pamela (Joe) Mayne both of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Marjorie (Dennis) Bealle of Chicago, Illnois; three nieces, Felisia Profit, Demetria Jackson, and Tina Stills; nine nephews, Kevin Lewis, Devan Isaac, Jules Sullen, Derrick Lavergne, Freeman Lavergne II, Byron Hawkins, Damon Lewis, Troy Lewis and Gregory Jackson; three sisters-in-law, Betty Lavergne, Linda Gibson, and Nancy Hawkins; two brothers-in law, Arthur Walls and Harry Hawkins; and a host of other family and friends
