Mildred Stevens Curtis , 83 died February 6, 2015with family at her bedside. Mildred was born July 9,1931 in Opelousas, Louisiana to the late John Baptiste Stevens and his wife, the late Ezola Marie Johnson Stevens.

Mildred married the late Fred Alonzo Curtis of Lake Charles, Louisiana. They were foster parents to many children in the area.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Stevens Guillory, Eola Lazard Frank, Vivian Lazard Moore and one brother, Lawrence Booker Stevens.

Service date: February 13, 2015

Services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015. Visitation at Combre Funeral Home, Mass in Celebration of her life at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Internment at Combre Memorial Park immediately following the service. Arrangements provided by Combre Funeral Home.
