On, Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 7:17 A.M., our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called His faithful servant, Minister Daniel Mouton, Sr., home to glory. His devoted wife of 44 years was lovingly by his side as he peacefully departed this life.

Daniel Mouton, Sr. was born on January 15, 1959 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the late Geraldine Mouton and Thomas Mouton, Sr. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Daniel accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and faithfully served at Saints Cathedral (Memorial).

He attended Riverside Elementary, Ray D. Molo Middle School, and Marion High School, where he graduated among the top five in his class and was recognized with the "I Dare You' Award and the "Who's Who" Award. He later earned a degree in architectural design from Delta School of Business.

Daniel dedicated 44.5 years of service to Kroger, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and kind spirit. He never met a stranger, never missed a day and never missed an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 1976, Daniel was introduced to the love of his life, Alvina Mouton, by Mary Guillory. Their bond grew and in 1982 they were united in holy matrimony. Together they built a life rooted in faith, love and family. Daniel was the proud father of three children; Latheniel (Erica) Fontenot, Daniel (Kyleen) Mouton, and Mariah (Darrell) Spencer. He was a cherished grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his uncle Neil (Fay) Moore, his sister Marie Delafosse, and his brother Thomas (Deadra) Mouton. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Mahaley Mouton. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and all who were blessed to know him.

Minister Daniel Mouton, Sr.'s legacy of faith, service and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

His visitation is Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. with funeral following at 1:00 P.M. in Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, Pastor Michael Cuba will officiate. Interment will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
