IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Monica Renee'
Guillory
October 13, 1968 – May 13, 2018
Ms. Monica Renee' Guillory, 49, passed away Sunday May 13, 2018. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Monica was christened and raised in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. As a child, Monica enjoyed going to church and school, dressing up and admiring herself in the outfits that her mother bought for her. She kept a meticulous bedroom, insisting her cousins cleaned up after playing with her toys. After graduating high school, she attended McNeese State University and Southern University where she pursued a degree in Speech Therapy. She was known as a kind-hearted, loyal and generous person that loved her family and friends tremendously. Monica worked as a caregiver for the elderly, loved children and animals, and was an excellent cook. She was one of those rare people that would literally give their last to a person in need and enjoyed showering her loved ones with an abundance of treats and gifts. Monica was a devoted mother; her greatest joy in life was her only son, Paul.
Monica was survived by her significant other Paul "Glen" Victorian, Jr.; her son, Paul Victorian III; her parents, Syrilda Guillory and Wilton Guillory; her siblings, Lawana Campbell and husband Shannon Campbell, Dawn Guillory Brown and husband Jeremy Brown; half-siblings, Joan Allen, Annie Sajous, Marla Cooper, Andrew Armelin, Christopher Jolivette, and Terrence Guillory; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grand-parents, Fredman Hardy, Sr. and Irene Hardy and her paternal grand-parents, Smith Guillory and Nola Simien Guillory.
