Myra was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and godmother who lived her life for family and friends. She was a Deputy with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff''s Office, an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. Sergeant Mouton was a 1992 graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School, and a 1996 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

A native of Lake Charles and a resident of Lafayette Sgt. Mouton passed away Thursday, February 26 following a brief illness. She is survived by her father Daniel Mouton of Lake Charles, a brother Patrick Daniel Mouton, sister-in-law LaTosha Mouton, a niece Soleigha Coney Mouton, a nephew Noah Daniel Mouton, all of West Lake, aunts, Elizabeth (Artis) Harris, Jacqueline Reedom, Dorothy Reedom, Lillian Reedom all of New Iberia, uncles, John(Paula) Reedom and Robert Reedom of New Iberia, George (Laura) Reedom of San Antonio Texas, James Patrick Reedom and Marshall (Iris) Reedom of Fort Worth Texas, two god children Kenny Sam, Jr. and Matthew White, special cousins, Erynn Sonnier, Michelle Reedom, Larryssa Latigue, Angela Early, and a host of cousins and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Mouton, maternal grandparents Marshall and Dorothy Reedom, paternal grandmother Evelyn Snipes, and aunts Martha Lizana, Gloria White and Mary Pierre and an uncle Daniel Pierre.

Active Pall bearers will be deputies from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff''s Office and honorary pallbearers will be Lt. Armen Alexandrian, Brandon Arceneaux, Matt Thomassee, Curley Williams, Sgt. David Perry, Gilbert Blier, Lt. Greg Mitchell, and cousins Arlen Harris, Arick Harris, Artis Harris, Jr., Langston White, Larry White, Jr., Derek Reedom, Marshall Reedom, III and Marcus Reedom.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Myra Denise Mouton, 40, at 11 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2015 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Lake Charles with the Rev. Marcus Johnson officiating. Combre Funeral Home will open at 7 a.m to 10:40am. Saturday for a visitation, burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home .
