Nora Lee "Tut" Barker Villery, 82, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, departed this life Friday, August 21 2015, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Nora was born on March 27, 1933 in Mermentau, Louisiana to Crawford Barker and Esther Pierre Barker. She married Marion Villery on August 31, 1952. She was employed by JCPenney as a sales auditor for twenty years. Nora was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Women''s Scripture Sharing Group, Bereavement Ministry and the 4:00 p.m. choir. She was a past lector for morning mass and a past member of the Catholic Charismatic Movement. She was also a member of the Reeves CME Temple Prayer Group and the National Federation of the Blind. She had previously volunteered in the classroom with students at Pearl Watson Elementary School. She regularly visited nursing homes and ministered to the residents until her health declined.

She is survived by two sons, Merlyn James Villery and Raymond Patrick Villery (Winnifred) of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Kathleen Villery Parker (Charles) of Chester, VA; 11 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 18 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy Barker of Port Arthur, TX andLeo Barker of Lancaster, CA; two sisters, Gloria Broussard of Mermentau, LA and Thelma Hilliard of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marion A. Villery; daughter Glenda Villery Roberson; son Kevin G. Villery; son-in-law Ronnie M. Roberson; her parents; one sister, Ethel M. Berry; four brothers: Charles Barker,

Lawrence Barker, WilleBarkerand Wilford Barker.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: August 27,2015

Visitation Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 10:00am to 12:40pm in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a Holy Rosary starting at 10:30 am. Funeral will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00p.m. at Immaculate Heart, burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
