Odyall Douresseau, age 91, of Lake Charles passed away from this life into eternal rest Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Odyall was born on July 8, 1925 from the union of Bernadette Guillory and Alphonse Douresseau in Mallet, Louisiana.

Odyall was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He retired from Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (Court House) and enjoyed many years of retirement. He had an excellent memory and was an extraordinary storyteller. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Earnestine Douresseau; one daughter, Patricia Douresseau and one grandson, Joseph Austin, III; four sisters, Alma, Baco, Ann, Rena; three brothers, Feroel, Nolton, and LJ.

He is survived by four daughters, Rosaline (Herbert) Mitchell of Houston, Texas, Willetta (Don) Anderson of Pickerington, Ohio, Carletta (Oliver) Coleman of Cypress, Texas and Gisele (George) Braxton of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Three sisters, Gladys, Rose, and Geri; one brother-in-law,     Eldridge. Three sister-in-laws, Elnora, Alice and Willie Mae, five grand-children and six great grandchildren; with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
