Obituary

On July 22, 1967, Paranell Bias Lewis also known as "Nell" was born to the late Shirley Bias Sr. and Velma Ardoin Bias in Ville Plate, LA. At the age of three she moved to Lake Charles, LA., where she became a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Nell graduated from Washington Marion High School. She was diligent in her work as a Medical Billing Insurance Coordinator at Lake Area Prosthetics & Orthotics.

Paranell Bias Lewis was united in Holy Matrimony to Gerald Craig Lewis on May 27, 2006. To this union they were blessed with 2 children and two stepchildren.

Nell peacefully departed this life on Sunday April 28, 2013 with her husband and family by her side. She was reunited with her mother and father whom preceded her in death.

To cherish her loving memory she leaves her husband, Gerald Craig Lewis, daughter; Ebony L. Lewis; son Jecolby Lewis, step daughter; Ashley Lewis, step son Gerald Craig Lewis Jr., and one grandson Chance J. Chretien; all of Lake Charles, LA.

Her memories will also be cherished by her loving sisters and brothers; Dorothy (Willard) Thomas, Catherine (Henry) Jett, Judy (Phillip) Thomas, Patricia Bias, Stephanie Frank, Shirley (Linda) Bias Jr., Darrel (Charlotte) Bias Sr., Larry (Elaine) Bias, Ladray (Lynn) Bias Sr., Ronnie (Karen) Bias; all of Lake Charles, LA., Carrie (Phillip) Patterson of Houston, TX, and Anthony (Mary) Bias of Baton Rouge, LA.; two aunts, Stella Ardoin Byrd and Ella Mae Ward of Galveston TX.; seven uncles, Jessie W. Ardoin of Lake Charles, LA, Jessie J. Ardoin of New Orleans, LA, Gene O. Ardoin of San Francisco, CA., Ray Ardoin of Richmond, CA., Levi Bias of Lake Charles LA., Mose Bias Jr. of Ville Platte LA., and Johnny Mose Bias of Opelousas LA.; godmother; Geneva Levine. Her father and mother in law Mr. and Mrs. John (Rosalie) Lewis Sr.; sister in law Kim (Chris) Evans, brother in laws; John (Janet) Lewis Jr., Arnold Lyle (Monique) Lewis Sr., Ronald Keith Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, god children, relatives and friends.

As we reflect on the life of Paranell Lewis each of us will hold on to the memories of her kind-hearted loving spirit and how she touched each of our lives. Let''s remember the loving wife, mother, and friend who demonstrated an unwavering faith in God.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: May 11, 2013

Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 11 at 11am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation Services will be 6pm - 9pm at Combre Funeral Home. Burial will be Sacred Heart Cemetery.
