Parker Lawrence Celestine was born October 4, 1952 in Lake Charles, LA to Raymond, Sr. and Mary Jane (Captain) Celestine - the youngest of 5 children.

Parker L. Celestine passed peacefully from this life on October 1, 2015.He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. A hard worker, provider and avid Dallas Cowboys Fan he grew up in Lake Charles, LA graduated from Washington High School and furthered his studies at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA after over 20 years of service he retired from Northrop Grumman. He lived the remainder of his life in Iowa, Louisiana.

Parker L. Celestine was united in holy matrimony to Joan Washington and of this union four children were born. Left to cherish his memories are his four children (and spouses): Nefertaria Celestine of Atlanta, GA, Jerrie Celestine of Lake Charles, LA, Quarshunna (Trevis) Young of Houston, TX and Kristen Celestine of Lafayette, LA; one sister Audrey Slaughter and two brothers, Joe (Ragle) Celestine and Raymond Celestine. all of Lake Charles, LA; four grandchildren; and a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond, Sr. and Mary Jane Celestine, and his brother Huey Celestine Sr.
