Patricia Wheaton Burke, 60, was called home on March 4, 2013 in a Lafayette hospital.
She was born April 28, 1952 to Henry and Myrtiel Wheaton in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She married Arnold Burke November 2, 1980. She resided in Lafayette for 22 years. She was a graduate of Washington High School, and attended Grambling State University. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Mcneese University in Biology/Chemistry.
She was employed at numerous Lab companies including Wheaterly Lab, Arco and City Service as a Chemist.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, daughter, Brittany Burke and son Arnold Burke Jr. of Lafayette.
She also leaves 5 brothers, Henry Wheaton III of Atlanta, GA, Joe Tommie Wheaton, Richard (Victoria) Wheaton, Jeffrey Wheaton all of Lake Charles, and Dale(Mary) Wheaton of Milwaukee, WI and 6 sisters Cheryll (Arlander, Sr) Kennedy, Stephanie Wheaton, Paulette Wheaton, Pamela Wheaton all of Lake Charles, Brenda (Albert) Downey of Houston, TX, Meredith (Scotty) Ball of Dallas, TX., and a host of nieces and nephews; Also 2 aunts and a host of relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Lafayette, LA.
Services will be at 11am Friday March 8, 2013 at Combre Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 9am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park.
