Patrick R. Broussard, 83 , passed away December 20, 2018 . He was married to Martha Ann (Arceneaux) for 53 years until she passed June16, 2014. They had two sons: Milton Damian and his wife Brenda of Sacramento, California; and Byron Anthony and his wife Margie of Atlanta, Georgia. Pat and Martha had 5 grandchildren: Clarissa E., Xavier T., Maria V., Marquez L., Celine A. Broussard, and one great grandson Jadynn Dillard (son of Clarissa).
Patrick was the son of Milton Joseph and Josephine (Vavasseur) Broussard, both deceased. He had two brothers, Edmund C. of Houston, TX and Raymond M. deceased.
Patrick graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Lake Charles, LA, then Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA (BA, Math). He enlisted and served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. While in service he flew various cargo aircraft to almost every foreign country, dispersed defoliation agents during his year in Vietnam, trained as a Systems Analyst with Raytheon Corp Boston, MA and acquired a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1979 in the grade of Major.
For the next 16 years, Patrick worked as a Systems Analyst in Sacramento, CA, White Sands New Mexico, and as a Senior Analyst for Northrop-Grumman in Southern California on the B2 Stealth Bomber. He retired from Northrop- Grumman, and returned home to Lake Charles in 1995.
For seventeen years, Pat and Martha provided home health care to Martha's mom, Stella Broussard, and Stella's sister Gustavia Smith. Gustavia died July 7, 1998 and after Stella's death on October 27, 2012, Pat and Martha moved to Sacramento, CA to be near their son, Milton.
