Paul Gerard "Bruce" Broussard, was born on August 18, 1936 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Hortense and Percy Broussard, Sr. Although he was a native of Lafayette, he resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana most of his life. He also lived in Lawtell, Louisiana for about eight years.

He married Lorena Broussard and to this union five children were born. During his lifetime, he was employed at Bico-Pavers Construction Company for about thirty-five years. He later remarried the late Loretha Tousand. They were married for approximately seventeen years.

Paul was called to glory on April 26, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Over the course of time we were blessed with him.

Paul is survived by his five children Ida Vincent, Eddie Broussard of Sulphur, Louisiana, Kenneth (Mary) Broussard of Scott, Louisiana, Katherine (Dennis) Mouton of San Jacinto, California, and Carolyn (Dwayne) Adams of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a companion Ms. Mildred LeDee of many years; two brothers Edward (Agnes) Broussard of Westlake, Louisiana and James Broussard of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one sister Clara Hebert of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two sister-in-laws Louise Broussard and Beulah Broussard; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; Goddaughter Cheryl Broussard-Brisby; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers Warren Broussard, Percy Broussard, Sr., and Robert Broussard, Sr.; and one sister Mayola Trahan.
