Obituary

Pauline Fontenot , 87, was born in Grand Prairie, Louisiana to the late Elisa Tezeno and Edgar Leday. She lived most of her life in Grand Prairie. In 1968, Pauline moved to DeQuincy, Louisiana and shortly thereafter, united with Evergreen Baptist Church.

She united in matrimony to the Late Roosevelt Fontenot, Sr. and was married forty-eight years. To their union, six children were born, four girls and two boys.

She was employed with Boise Southern Company for several years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Batmas Leday, Sr. and Edgar Leday, Jr; and two sisters, Iris Jean and Emma Fontenot.

Pauline leaves to cherish her memories with love and devotion one son, Roosevelt (Jesweda) Fontenot, Jr; four daughters, Helen (Jerry) McLaurin, Hazel (Ronald) Lewis, Mildred (Dave) Tunwar, all of Dallas, Texas, and Ellen Dwyer of Port Arthur, Texas; eleven grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
