Queen Esther Walls was born on March 17, 1927 in Barbreck, Louisiana to the late Arthur Golden and Versa Jefferson Golden. She departed this life on May 27, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was baptized at the age of seven. She was also a long-term, dedicated member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church.

Queen was united in marriage to Willie Walls, Jr. on January 18, 1947. To this union eleven children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Versa Golden, husband of fifty-three years Willie Walls, Jr., sons, Willie A. Walls and Phillip Walls, daughters-in-law Glenda Walls and Marjorie Walls, son-in-law Johnny Guillory, Jr., grandson Nehemiah Gray and brother Alfred Golden.

She leaves to cherish her memory seven sons, two daughters, a daughter-in-law and their spouses: Arthur Walls of Lake Charles, LA, David Walls of Lake Charles, John Walls of Welsh, LA, Debra Guillory of Lake Charles, Sheryl Guillory of Baton Rouge, LA, Marvin Walls of Lake Charles, Timothy (Vera) Walls of Lake Charles, Joseph (Cheryl) Walls of Lake Charles, Michael (Mary) Walls of Houston, Texas and Velma Walls of Moss Bluff, LA. She is survived by eighteen grandchildren: Gwendolyn Walls of Lake Charles, Travis (Sjolander) Walls of Lake Charles, Yolanda Maxwell of St. Paul, MN, Quisha Stewart of St. Paul, MN, Joshua Banks of Lake Charles, Sheara "Emonne" Guillory of Zachary, LA, Trakessa "Renee" (Hamilton) Laviege of Richmond, TX, Tonetta "Tony" Walls of Lake Charles, Nikia "Niki" Guillory of Lake Charles, Shondra Cutno of Denham Springs, LA, Marvin Walls, Jr. of Lake Charles, Latonya Guillory of Baton Rouge, Richard "Allan" Guillory, Jr. of Lake Charles, Timothy Walls, Jr. of Lake Charles, Ashanti Walls of Houston, Melissa Walls of Oklahoma City, OK, Alexandria Walls of Long Beach, CA and Mason Walls of Lake Charles; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and twenty-two great-great grandchildren.
