Mrs. Rena Simonet passed from this life on October 17, 2021. She was born April 28, 1922 in Kinder, La. to Leo and Laura Landry (deceased). She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ernest Simonet, and son Ernest, Jr, two brothers Leo and Edward Landry. Also left to mourn are sons and their wives Kenneth (Janice), George (Geraldine), Douglas (Carrie) and a daughter Martha Jean Richardson. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kevin Richardson, Angela Richardson, Karen Monds, Brian K. Simonet, Trina Simonet-Green, Catrina Simonet, Frederick Simonet, Cynthia Simonet-Bell, Michael Simonet, Bryan C. Simonet, Nicholas Simonet, Cleven Nash, Cherika Simonet-Stevens, Sal Simonet, Chez Simonet, Chakenia Simonet and many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was a long standing member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and throughout her life had many friends, neighbors, and acquaintances that she regarded more as family. She welcomed everyone into her home, life, and love. Our mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend will be greatly missed, but she rests now in heaven in the care of a loving God.
