Richard, known by everyone as “Big Richard”, was called home on July 2, 2026. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Whether he was in the kitchen cooking, grilling outside, fishing, or working on classic cars, he found joy in all aspects of life. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Richard is survived by his wife Michelle Mouton Celestine, his sons, Derrick Mouton (Rose), Richard Celestine Jr., Jamar Celestine, and Tyler Celestine (Tamara). His mother, Martha Fontenot Celestine, siblings, David Celestine (Alysia), Ronald Celestine (Dawn), Donald Celestine (Tasha), and bonus brother Keith Guillory (Brenda). His grandchildren, Gianna, Ramsey, Sadie, and Sage. He also leaves behind an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Celestine and his brother Ricky Celestine.

 As we say goodbye, we hold on to the moments, the laughter, and the love that will never fade. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2026 with the Memorial service at 11:00 A.M. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
