Obituary

Rodney Burton Ware was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on July 27, 1954 to Mrs. Mildred SimonWare and the late Dennis C. Ware II. He passed into the loving arms of the Lord at MethodistLeBonheur Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee, Sunday, June 14, 2015. He was a twinand the fifth child. He was a proud graduate of Lake Charles High School, class of 1972, and went toSouthern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He joined the United States Navy in 1974 and servedfor seven years, receiving an honorable discharge. He later attended the University of Memphis inMemphis, Tennessee.

Rodney confessed Christ and was baptized at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church under theleadership of Dr. Alvin O''Neal Jackson. He married Gwendolyn D. Brown November 2, 1991 and to thisunion two daughters were born.

He worked for Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) for thirty-one years. He worked in variouspositions during his tenure at FedEx. His last position at the time of his death was in AvionicsEngineering.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn D. Ware. He was adored by six children, CharlenePartee (Antony), Quincy Ware (LaShondra), Edward Davis, Vashti E. Ware, Jessica Ware all ofMemphis, Tennessee and Kimberly Ware Birl (Brian) of Birmingham, Alabama. He also leaves a lovingmother, Mrs. Mildred S. Ware of Lake Charles, Louisiana and five siblings, Dennis C. Ware III, MelverteFrances Jones, Deborah Gale Ware, Reginald Charles Ware (Earnestine), and his twin Judge Ron FrankWare (Troye). He is beloved by eight grandchildren, Atrienne, Aaliyah, Landon, Ware, David, Jonathan,Imani and Zariah. He is also cherished by a mother-in-law, Mrs. Maggie Smith and a host of sister-inlaws,brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: June 20, 2015

Funeral service will be Saturday June 20, at 1pm in Combre Funeral Home, visitation from 10 to 1 in the funeral home. Burial is in Fleming Cemetery in Beaumont, Tx.
