Rosa Mary (Simon) Jolivette died on March 18, 2022 in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was born on July 29, 1926 in Lawtell, Louisiana, the daughter of Gabriel and Ella (Declouet) Simon. She was married for 59 years to Paul Herbert Jolivette, who predeceased her on March 9, 2006.

She is survived by her five children, Gabriel of Lake Charles, Rose Marie (Richard) of Kettle Falls, Washington, Murray (William) of Washington DC, Germaine (William) of Katy, Texas, and Paul (Teresa) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; her beloved grandchildren Gregory (Tracy), Julien, Lucas, Chuck (Christina), Reve, Matthew, Fehran (Thomas), Sean, Adrienne, Jordan, and Paul; her great-grandchildren Olivia, Lucy, Makayla, Kamilla, Roselynn, Dominic, Giavanna, Tyleigh, Thomas, Aaron, Jacob, Penelope, and Gianna; her sister Marjorie Jenkins of Lake Charles; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Louisiana and around the country. Her grandson Ronald predeceased her in 1997.

She was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, where she was active in the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary St. Rita Ct. #31 and of the Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society, and leaves behind many dear friends in Lake Charles, Opelousas, and everywhere she visited.
