Lake Charles – Rosa Mae Victorian Huntsberry 83, was called home on January 21, 2012 in a local hospital.
Rosa Mae Victorian was born October 20, 1928 in Holmwood, LA. She was born to the late Marteal Carin and Foster Victorian. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was known as the neighborhood "mom". She enjoyed gardening, making cold cups, cooking and making boudin and hot tamales. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Huntsberry, one daughter Julian Huntsberry, 2 sons, Harold and Donald Huntsberry, one great granddaughter Quintana Fisher and one brother Joseph Victorian.
Those left to cherish her memories include 6 daughters, Joyce (LeRoy) Blunt, Sally Huntsberry, Margaret H. Peters, Anita (Noah) Celestine, Isabel (James) Guidry, Gaynel Joubert, one son Anthony Huntsberry, 25 grandchildren, 47 greatgrandchildren and 3 sisters, Mable Tezeno, Elma Stevens and Ella Mae Carter, one brother Paul Victorian and a host of nieces, nephews, her little dog FeFe and other relatives and friends.
Her funeral will be at 1 pm Saturday, January 28, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Marcus Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 am Saturday in Combre Funeral Home. The blessing and love goes out to all who will miss her.
