Lake Charles - Rosalie N. Lewis, 78, died at 10:22 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at her residence.
She was a native of Opelousas, La., and lived most of her adult life in Lake Charles, La. Rosalie was a wonderful woman who loved and was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and worked at such venues as Lake Charles Country Club and Jalal''s Restaurant. She was a life long member of Christian Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Connie Campbell of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Quentin Campbell, Derrick Campbell and Constance (Wilbert) Campbell-Jones, all of Lake Charles; two sisters, Clydia Mark and Mary Louise Nevills, both of Opelousas, La.; two brothers, Clayton Nevills Jr. of Opelousas, La., and Clarence Nevills of Beaumont, Texas; 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one godchild and four fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Selena Nevills; her husband, Easton Lewis Jr.; three brothers, Charles, Harold and Willie Nevills; two sisters, M. Gail and Loyce Jean Nevills; and one grandson, Easton Warren.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: December 22, 2016
Services will be on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Christian Baptist Church on Franklin Street. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Edward Alexander will officiate. Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
