Ruby Lee was born on July 17, 1916 to Albert and Alice Taylor in Wisner, La. She was baptized at an early age at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Wisner, La. She was the second of four children, 2 of which were brothers who preceded her in death, Isiah and Wash Taylor.

She was united in Marriage to the late Wilson Clayton Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories one sister, Willie Bell Swayzer of Houston, Tx; 5 Daughters: Alice (Kelsie) Pullen of Oakland, Ca, Ollie Davis of Anchorage, Ak, Estelle (Joe) Jackson of Monroe, La., Carolyn Fay Coleman of Monroe, La., Paula Nweke of Lake Charles, La. and 3 Sons; Ray Taylor of Midland, Tx.; Barron (Barbara) Taylor of Monroe, La.; Wilson (Linda) Clayton Jr. of Lake Charles, La; 2 Step Daughters, Joan Cuba and Orelia Stevens of Los Angeles, Ca. 32 Grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, multiple great-great grandchildren, multiple great-great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, 3 children; Ruby Lee Davis, Daniel Davis Jr. , and Thurman Clayton Sr. She was also preceded in death by 5 grandchildren, and 2 Daughters-In-Law, Sharon Clayton and Renella "Katan" Clayton.

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Lewis officiating. Burail will be in Combre Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday June 22, 2013 at the church from 10am until 12:30pm.
