Ruby's Story

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens. "

"A time to be born…"

Ruby B. Guillory was born to Batellia Rougeau on April 11, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

"A Time to Plant"

Ruby developed a close relationship with the Lord at St Ann's Catholic Church in Mallet, La. At an early age. After moving to Opelousas, Louisiana she became a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. After marriage, she moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana and became a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she remained until she was called home.

"A Time to Love"

In 1953, Ruby met her lifetime friend and husband Elcie J. Guillory and they formed a union together that lasted 67 years.

"A Time to Build"

Ruby built many lifetime bonds and was always ready to serve when asked. She was a longtime member of many organizations which included The Christian Mothers, Fourth Degree Ladies of Grace, KPC Ladies Auxiliary Court 141, and Altar Society. Always the active member, she held offices with all organizations and worked both as a local and national Counselor for the KPC Junior Daughters.

"A Time to Mourn"

Ruby was preceded in death by her mother Batellia Rougeau, sister/cousin Elvie Rougeau and an infant daughter

"A Time to Depart"

Ruby departed this earthly life on June19, 2020 at 1:57pm.

"And a Time of Peace"

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her husband Elcie J Guillory, three daughters Cynthia Guillory Lake Charles, La, Juliet Guillory Garland, Tx, and Sharon Guillory Houston, Tx; Three grandchildren Danielle Guillory Lake Charles, La, Thaddeus Guillory Houston, Tx, Rachel Guillory Garland,Tx, and six great grandchildren along with a hosts of friends and relatives.
