Rudella Sophie Dargin Taylor was called from this life on Thursday,December 24, 2015.She was the second oldest of six children born to the union of IvyThibodeaux Dargin and Harry Dargin in Lake Charles, LA on September 16,1935. Rudella was a loving mother,grandmother and great-grandmother and was affectionately called"Pumpkin" by her grandchildren and great-grand children.

Rudella was a life long member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Churchand also attended elementary and high school at Sacred Heart. She was amember of the church''s usher board, the League of the Sacred Heart, aformer member of the Project Build A Future Committee under the guidanceof the Reverend Henry Mancuso, a member of the Bazaar Committee and amember of the Senior Citizens Group. She was retired form Lake CharlesMemorial Hospital where she worked as a Hospital Technician in theCentral Supply Department for 28 years before retiring.

She leaves to cherish her memories her four children and twodaughters-in-law: Myra Taylor, Barry Taylor and his wife Pamela,Stephanie Taylor Stiner, and Kenneth Taylor and his wife Tracy;grandchildren Danella (Mario) Taylor Sonnier, Deidra (Michael) TaylorGuillory, Derrick (Irish)Taylor, Lindsay Stiner, Kristen Stiner andstep-grandchildren Gabriel Charlot of Lake Charles, Marlana Charlot ofBaton Rouge and Previn Charlot of San Antonio, TX ,14great-grandchildren; her three sisters Barbara Guillory, Geraldine Loweand Jacqueline Hillard; 5 nieces, 4 nephews and her loving aunt LoneyRichard of Smyrna, GAand a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ivy and Harry Dargin, her twobrothers Oran and Jerry Dargin, her great-granddaughter Daneisha Taylor,nephew Mark Guillory, sister-in-law Heloise Dargin and brothers-in-lawReginald Lowe and Poland Guillory.

Service date: December 31, 2015

Funeral services for Rudella S. Dargin Taylor will be Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Richard Uche and Deacon Errol Deville will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home.A rosary will said at 10:00 a.m.
