Sandra was born on July 29, 1954, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the union of Catherine Dorothy Leblanc and Wilson Fontenot.
She grew up in Lake Charles Louisiana and graduated from Marion High School. After several years of working and financially helping her parents she joined the United States Army. After completing her term in the service, she returned home and got married and started her family but soon after she was deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm. Upon returning home once again, she became a dedicated member of Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church and New Covenant Baptist Church for many years. She was an inspiration and a testament to what a strong belief in God can do in one's life.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jenina Renee Chevis, and LaShara B. Lewis, (both of Lake Charles, LA.), four sisters, Karen Paul, (Charles), Maxcine Fontenot, T. Renee Davis,(Melvin),all of Lake Charles, and Sarah M. Roscoe,(Jerry) of O'Fallon, Illinois, one aunt, Ruth Ann Davis of Lake Charles, LA., and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesic Cravens, her father and mother Wilson and Dorothy Fontenot, one sister Jeannette Gallien, and one brother, Wilson Fontenot Jr.
