Obituary

On October 25, 2016 Stafford Keith Lemonier went home to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born on April 2, 1965 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Harry and Lou Lemonier. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1984. He then decided to join the United States Army in 1985 and served 3 1/2 years.

Stafford loved fishing and being home watching television and movies. He loved to cook for his children and grandchildren. We will remember him as a kind, understanding and gentle soul. He was known as a snap back artist who could do the dozens with anybody. He had the ability to fix anything with his hands. Stafford was the family handyman. He loved his profession which he served 26 years with the Lake Charles Water Division as a Foreman. His favorite artist/musician/singer was Prince, whom he saw in concert on August 13, 1997 with his brother. While attending the concert, he had the pleasure of being singled out by Prince by him pointing at him. He and his brother reacted as two teenage girls by hugging, kissing and dancing. He had great love and respect for women.

Stafford leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Harry and Lou Lemonier; two siblings, Jamie Lemonier, Sr. and Sicily Lemonier Ross, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana. His former wife, Elizabeth G. Lemonier of Lake Charles. Two children from this union, Jordan Lemonier and Lexie Lemonier of Lake Charles. Common law partner, Yvette Simien; two children Jasmine Lemonier, and Amber Lemonier. He will be missed by his five Grandchildren, Haven Bargeman, Hayden Bargeman, Payton Jackson, Isabella Lemonier, and Hailey Jackson; and his dog, Shawty (only dog he loved). He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eurick and Lillian Guillory; and his paternal grandparents, Martin and Antonia Lemonier.
