Lake Charles – Steven McKelvin Clophus, 28 was called home on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.

He was a native of Kinder and made his home in Lake Charles.  He was employed with Phillips Service Corporation for the last 6 years as a hydroblaster.  He was united in marriage to Belinda Williams Clophus of Ville Platte.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Clophus; 3 sons, Damien, De'Andre and Derius Clophus and 1 daughter, Ashlynn Clophus; 1 sister, Kaneisha South; 5 brothers, Eric Clophus and John Jones of Lake Charles, Corey Miles, Jon Eric Soileau and Kristopher all of Elton; his mother Patricia Clophus of Lake Charles; step-mother, Lisa Hicks of Elton; 2 grandmothers, Eva Clophus of Lake Charles and Eville Miles of Kinder, La; 2 nieces, Justina and Jade Clophus and one nephew, Laden South all of Lake Charles.

His funeral services will be at 11 am on Wednesday, June 13 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  The Rev. Marcus will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Fenton under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.  Visitation is from 9 am to 10:40 am Wednesday in the Funeral Home.
