Terrell Anthony “TC” Combre was born to the late Theophile A. Combre, Jr. and Delores Duhon Combre. He was a native of “Prien Lake” community where he spent the majority of his adult life. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School until 8th grade and remained close with his classmates. He was a proud 1982 graduate of Alfred M. Barbe High School. He attended McNeese State University and worked at Sears and Roebuck in the tire department during his college years.

He met and married the former Neldra “Nell” Ann Comeaux in 1989, who was the apple of his eye and love of his life. To this union their one and only son Ty’Rek Axavier Combre was born. After Nell’s transition, Terrell never remarried and remained a widow for 31 years.

Left to cherish his memories are his devoted son, Ty’Rek Axavier “Ty” Combre of Lake Charles, LA, three grandchildren whom he adored, Peyton Alise Wright, Tyler Anthony Combre and Taylor Janae Combre, two siblings, Theophile “TA” Combre III of Dunwoody, GA and Donna Marie Lemelle of Lake Charles, LA, a devoted cousin/sister Kathy Schlesinger of Mansfield, TX and a niece by marriage, Amanda Fontenot Johnson (Tony) of Lake Charles, LA who was also one of his caregivers, devoted brother in law Jimmy (Sally) Comeaux of Westlake, LA who brought him daily newspapers and burgers faithfully, and sister-in-law, Mary “Sis” Comeaux Sterling, Lake Charles, LA, cousins Harvey (Alvina) Duhon Jr., Victor Hollier, Cynthia Hollier Burris, Jackie (Martin) Guillory, who could be counted on to answer his many calls and respond faithfully to his aid. Preceding him in death are his parents and wife, Maternal Grandparents Julian Duhon and Julia Granger Duhon. Paternal Grandparents Theophile Albert Combre Sr. and Doretha A. Combre. Brothers-in-love, Johnny (Barbara), Jesse (Joyce Marie), J-Roy, and Jney Comeaux.

He retired from Grumman and worked as a Foreman for Trax Work until his health began to fail him. Every weekend was a good time at Combre’s house. Friends would gather after work to get the weekend started and spend time having fun. Terrell was a true New Orleans Saints fan, a great cook and was known to carry a Bud Light and a smile. His earthly assignment is completed and now he will be reunited with his wife, parents and all of those who have had a headstart.

Today we celebrate a life well-loved and well-lived. Come and take your rest!

“Jesus said unto him, I am the resurrection, and the life: He that believeth in me, though, he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die… John 1, 1:25-26

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7,2026 at 9:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
